Have You or a Loved-One Been Injured on a Construction Site? What you need to know about OSHA’s “Fatal Four”
The most recent data available confirms that there were 5,486 construction worker fatalities in 2022. One of the jobs of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is to implement rules that will keep construction sites safer. The most common injuries on construction sites are outlined by what OSHA called, the Fatal Four. These injuries include (1) falls, (2) struck-by-object, (3) electrocutions, and (4) caught-in/between.
Construction companies are required to follow the regulations that OSHA has implemented in order to prevent any of these accidents from occurring. Very often they ignore these rules due to costs of compliance, rush to finish the job/project, etc…
When on a construction site, it is important that you stay aware of potential hazards and follow on-site rules designed to keep you safe. Remember to always wear PPE, helmets, and harnesses when required.
